"All AERC sanctioned rides must use an AERC approved rider card for the control veterinarian(s) to record the results of their examinations." Every rider deserves to have a rider (vet) card and now there is a rule that says you must. Most rides already use the cards. AERC sends out two different rider cards in the ride management packets. As long as the infomation that is on these cards are used, the card is approved. This card helps the rider in more ways than just vetting record. A rider can look at it and see how long it took the horse to reach criteria and at the same time see his time to leave the vet check. Many riders like to keep a file with all their rider cards in it to see how their horse is progressing. |
