ENDURANCE UPDATES RIDE NEWS 

New!The AERC Board of Directors voted this week to open up rider and horse history records. Click for a Letter from the Board.

New!The American Endurance Ride Conference is seeking a marketing expert to increase AERC’s brand equity. The AERC Board of Directors recently passed a motion to fund a part-time contract position. The individual will be responsible for building appeal for the sport of endurance riding and AERC via public relations outreach; managing social media development; developing a youth marketing plan; developing relationships with breed/sport associations; managing press release/story development and event marketing.
Prospective individuals must have marketing experience, and will be required to submit a resume, proposal/bid, writing samples and samples of prior ad campaigns. Can work remotely although some office visits to Auburn, California, may be required.

New!RECORDS ACCESS CHANGES: The AERC records for riders and horses will be accessible only to current AERC members, through their member's page. New! RENEW for 2015! You are welcome to renew online or by phone (866-271-2372). There are changes to the rule book, so 2015 membership cards will be mailed with rule books by late October. Ask about our 2-year membership, available only to those who call the office to renew. 

ANNE AYALA JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIP:  Scholarship applications are now available here  for the form; applications are due by January 7, 2015.

DIRECTOR AT LARGE: Ballots will be mailed by the end of October for the 2015-16 director at large positions.

AERC NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: Coming on October 30: 100 mile championship and November 1: 50 mile championship, at Priefert Ranch in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. For qualifications, entry form, and all info you need to ride or volunteer at this prestigious event, go to www.2014AERCNC.com.

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY: The most current, updated version of the membership directory is available to members via their log-in page. Send a note to the Publications Desk with your name and AERC number, and please confirm your mailing address.

The middle day of the Gold Rush Shuffle Pioneer limited distance ride (West Region) has been changed from a 30 to a 35.
