Distance Ride Time Reporting Proposal
There
is a motion pending to require ride managers to submit ride times for riders in
limited distance rides. Current rules for endurance and LD are essentially the
same for reporting ride times. Listed below are the relevant current rules and
proposed revisions of Rules 8.5.4 and L8.3. The board is looking for input;
please forward any comments to the office at aerc@foothill.net.
Current
Rule 5.3: Riding
time is the time used by the competitors to complete the course, excluding all
hold times, and is the time used for AERC ride results.

time is the time used by the competitors to complete the course and reach
criteria, excluding all hold times. This is the time used for AERC ride
results.

results list all completing riders in order of finish along with their
division.

Rule 12: Ride results
must be submitted to the AERC Administrative Office within two weeks after the
ride date and must be accompanied by a starting rider fee. (Fee subject to
change. Check with the AERC office.)

results must list all completing riders in order of finish along with their
division. Ride results must state the riding time for each completing rider as
determined under Rule 5.3. Ride results must also list all starting riders who
did not complete.
